Kara AttheBeach now has her own website, karaatthebeach.com, and runs a community-driven Peninsula Community Calendar. But who is Kara?
Karadog was the founding dog of and inspiration for us here at beachdog.com. Long since crossing the Rainbow Bridge, Kara is now the namesake for a community-focused suite of services offered by the company to give back to the Peninsula community.
Kara AttheBeach is an identity developed to communicate local events and happenings to Peninsula-lovers in social media. She’ll promote anything local, provided it is generally positive and beneficial to the community and its members.
The Community Calendar became popular on the local Visitors Bureau’s funbeach.com, but was let go when they redesigned and reorganized their site a few years back. beachdog.com picked it up to give to a local non-profit to run but, unable to find a group with the inclination or resources to manage updates, decided to put the calendar back online themselves, as a part of their “Kara Project.”
