The City of Long Beach launched a brand new website recently. Shedding some of the content of years past that was no longer serving a purpose, the new site is designed to make the information important to residents and visitors easy to access.
A major contributor to local tourism-based business sites, and the local Visitors Bureau, the site’s home page includes a welcoming video and links to popular peninsula destinations, along with updating weather reports. You can even send a picture postcard!
Residents can pay a bill, report a problem, find a department phone number, or send an email to the Mayor or key staff members. Public records requests, statistics, and a wide variety of documents are available. Prepare to attend a City Council meeting by reading past minutes and the current packet, or click into the City Ordinances.
This site has a lot of information packed into it, with plans in the works to make statistical and tax information easier to read and more transparent. Stay tuned!
