It’s kite week here in Long Beach, the perfect occasion for launching a new website!

The World Kite Museum has been around almost as long as the Washington State International Kite Festival and, while the two have always held hands, this is the first year they’ve been officially married. And so it seemed fitting to make it the year to blow up the very outdated website we built them back in 2000 and replace it with something new, flexible, colorful, responsive, and with room to grow.
Creating a handshake between the site and social media was important as staff and volunteers are both very active in bringing kite happenings at the beach to their followers.
