Karl recently launched a site for El Dorado Estates, a pet-friendly, age-restricted (55+) community in Las Vegas.  In addition to being able to easily add and delete properties as inventory changes, the site owners are able to highlight properties using a ‘featured post’ option.  Slideshows highlight home interiors.

The site is mobile-friendly, something increasingly important for all websites, but particularly in the very wireless Las Vegas community.  It includes an RSS feed option as well as a contact form and a variety of search and sorting options for viewing information.

Because the company wanted to keep the look and feel of what they already had in use, Karl kept design time to a minimum, echoing visual elements from the company’s business cards and advertising.

There’s a reason Arthur Strand Insurance has been successful for nearly 85 years.  These people take their work seriously and do not settle.  We LOVE working with the ladies of Arthur Strand Insurance in Long Beach!

The site is database-driven, allowing them to easily take advantage of some of the latest technologies while keeping the ability to edit the site themselves.  Keleigh roughed up the initial design and Karl worked with the Strand team to check off most every item on their wish list.  Meanwhile, Kathy did her search engine magic to make the site “google-friendly”.

Because the firm is an independent insurance agency, they needed a lot of flexibility in presenting information, insurance products, vendors and types of insurance.  At the same time, they wanted to make it easier for their customers to file claims, pay bills, get forms and other common tasks.  The database design of their site allows staff to update this information easily in-house, without incurring the expense of calling our office whenever a form is updated.

We’re particularly impressed with the amount of thought that went into the site navigational structure.  They’ve made it easy to find a LOT of information while keeping the integrity of a clean design.  Kudos, Arthur Strand Insurance!
