So what makes us beachdogs? We are top dogs in graphic arts, web development and tourism marketing. We often work with newshounds. We’re loyal, fun-loving, tourism-fetching, award-winning show dogs, barking up the right tree on your behalf. We worry on a bone until we get it right. We work like dogs. We play like pups. We’re strong supporters of our local shelter. AND, we don’t think it’s a coincidence that Sirius, the Dog Star, is the brightest star in the constellation. Oh yeah, and we LOVE living and working at the beach!
Meet Our Team
Motto: You will prosper in the pursuit of sticks
Usually in the kennel: when not sleeping
A whirlwind of enthusiasm who embraces client goals as passionately as her own, Keleigh takes ‘being beachdog’ very seriously. When she’s not working for one of her pet non-profits (South Pacific County Humane Society and Rotary top the list), she’s petting one of her work for profit projects. A master of her digital color crayons Keleigh is at her best when creating. She provides concept development and graphics for advertising and collateral media (brochures, postcards, magazines, and the like), identity development (logos, business cards, stationery, labeling, signage) and full-blown marketing plans.
Motto: Kibble counting is my game
Usually in the kennel: M-T: 9am – 5pm, W: 9am – 4pm
Guardian of the door, the phone, client records and all things in need of her outstanding people, organization and analytical skills, Sue keeps the rest of us sane. Well, she tries to. Even then, it’s only three days a week. When Sue goes on vacation, the place goes to the dogs. Sue lives with husband Gary and two gorgeous Golden Retrievers, Colonel & Bonnie (when she’s not golfing).
Wendy Murry, Jack Russell of All Trades
Motto: Pooches Gracias
Usually in the kennel: T: 10am – 4pm, W: 10am – 5pm, Th: 9am – 5pm
Wendy comes to us with a dark and mysterious past… Not really. Truth is, she’s an awesome artist, fabulous hair stylist and parent extraordinaire, along with hubby Del, of two gorgeous children. Thanks to Wendy, the rest of us have two extra hands when we need them, which is pretty much all the time. AND, she is quite the Jake The Alligator Man expert, organizing and orchestrating his annual birthday bash each summer. It’s fun and freakish frivolity, Peninsula-wide.
Motto: To code or not to code, that is the question
Usually in the kennel: M-Th: 7:30am – 6pm
Karl wasn’t’ sure what kind of dog he was so he took the dogster.com quiz. The verdict? Karl is a Labrador Retriever, the Caretaker. His family is what makes him tick, and he’ll never “flea” from an opportunity to hang out with the whole gang. His sparky temperament and dogged intelligence mean he is not only a blast to hang out with, but great to work with as well. Database design and large monitors are better than anything (except maybe a good scratch behind the ears).
Karl’s our man for developing website architecture, maintaining sites new and old, keeping our in-house and web servers in top-notch condition, troubleshooting bizarre bumps in the road and being our Mac Guru.
Motto: Success is simple. Do what’s right, the right way, at the right time.
Usually in the kennel: M-F: 8:30am – 5pm
Fleeing a small cubicle in a large bureaucracy, Ethan relocated to the Peninsula after being attracted by our island pace, salt air and friendly natives. Amazed by arriving at work before his coffee is cool enough to drink, Ethan is enjoying the culture shock of reducing his metro size by 99.99% and having walls and windows all to himself. His rescued bear, Humphrey, watches over him so he doesn’t get too lonely in his new corner office.
Ethan lives, breathes, and dreams code. He takes particular delight in integrating disparate systems and mucking about in a wide variety of databases, flip-flopping data to order. PHP, MySQL, CSS, ROTFLOL… alphabet soup is his best buddy.
Keith Schwartz, Vice President of Doodie Duty
Motto: Stop and smell EVERYTHING (except maybe the doodie)
Usually in the kennel: except when he’s not
Who else enjoys research and sales as much as basking in the sun on an exotic island? His track record in website marketing and project advertising sales speaks for itself. Keith’s officially retired these days, but we keep dragging him out of the garden to do his magic on a project basis. When he wants time off, Keith claims “Insufficient Memory @ This Time”.
David Craft, Bulldog in-training
Motto:Bites the hand that doesn’t feed… “human food”.
Usually in the kennel: T-W: 10am – 4pm
On a crisp, cool night, David stepped in as one who was destined to pick up the falling pieces. …He just had to learn how to first. Throughout his rigorous training, he learned the skills necessary to maintain a healthy life, and is now able to live on grub intended for the upper-class dogs. David always likes things big as well as efficient. This is true with computers, programs, and websites (and paychecks).
He’d play computer games on the job, if his thumbs weren’t removed and placed in the locker during normal work hours for that very reason. But most of all, David loves working with people (and going on walks), and finding that extra-special thing that clients want added to their project. It’s no surprise to us that he is Washington’s Eagle Scout of the Year.

Aspen Calla Lilly Schvartz, CLO (Chief Leaning Officer)
Motto: A scratch, in time, saves nine.
Perdita Bonita Maria Zebrina Rosa Schvartz, OLP (Our Little Pony)
Motto: I AM the dog and pony show
The girls are our corporate exercise program, happy to be let in and out at every whim. They keep swapping out profile photos for secret specials. Ssssh! Don’t tell the boss!
Oscar Filbert, Obedience Graduate (someone had to be)
Motto: The fox knows many things – the hedgehog, one big one
Usually in the kennel: When you least expect it
Oscar reminds us all to stay focused while managing unsolicited telemarketing calls, visits from drop-in salesmen and all of the office spam. He’s a little nutty about his job, but we like him that way.
Karadog, CEO (Chief Eating Officer)
Motto: A fool and his cookie are soon parted
Usually in the kennel: Kara crossed the rainbow bridge on January 21, 2009
When founding beachdog.com back in 1996, we thought long about what to name the company. We wanted the name to express the ideals we had for our business; can-do attitude, constant learning, chutzpah, determination, beauty, creativity, loyalty, passion, fun, play, giving more than you take. It suddenly occurred to us that the reason we so adored our beloved shelter mutt was that she exemplified all these qualities. And so beachdog.com found its moniker. She is deeply missed by anyone who ever spent time with her. Gratefully, that was many. Our photo tribute to Karadog.
